Tuition for Geology and Earth Sciences

I'm a retired University Lecturer from the Earth and Planetary Science Department, University of London, with over 38 years of teaching experience with broad Geological knowledge. I cover a range of topics at A-level/BSc Geology, and specialise in Mineralogy, Igneous Petrology, Ore Geology, Geological mapping and field techniques.

Having taught in the classroom, I prefer a one-to-one approach either face-to-face or online. I use a visualiser and a live-stream microscope camera while tutoring geological mapping and petrology. I have an extensive collection of igneous/metamorphic samples as geological microscope thin sections, which are essential when tutoring online. I have a wide understanding of different learning needs and preferences and am able to accommodate for different learning styles to enhance the tutoring experience.

Over the last 5 years, I have been acting as an A-level Geology monitor for a major UK-based examination board, so fully aware of the requirements for the A-level Geology syllabus.

I can offer tailored hour-long online (Zoom or Skype) tutoring sessions covering A-Level Geology and topics in BSc Earth Sciences/Geology level.

Fees from £50 per hour depending on level and requirements. Day, evening and weekend appointments available.
